Cayman Islands: The Honeymooners' Paradise

Cayman Islands were well known in the past for their deep-rooted agriculture and trading. Many companies on the Cayman Islands have the history of distilling sugar along with rum and rum being one of the main exports of the Cayman Islands. Even though Jamaica and Cayman Islands had closer ties between each other due to the British alliance, Cayman Islands decided to remain under the rule of the British while Jamaica got independence in the year 1962.

Suitable weather conditions and period for taking travel to Cayman Islands:

The best period for visiting Cayman Islands by the honeymooners would be during winter season as the temperatures are very hot during the summer or spring seasons which can make the honeymooners visiting Cayman Islands very uncomfortable. Even though the temperatures are very consistent during the winter between 75 and 85 degrees farenheit, it is not advisable for the honeymooners to go as almost all the places of the Cayman Islands will be packed with people. It might be very hard for the honeymooners to get accommodation and even the streets will be very crowded. Any honeymooner would prefer a time where there won’t be much crowd to enjoy their time together in solitude. Honeymooners need to avoid summer vacations, spring breaks, Christmas breaks and during the second week of February. Rest of the time would be very ideal.

Normal and offbeat activities:

Honeymooners who like to experience water related activities can find many things to be done in the Cayman Islands during the day time. They can indulge themselves in deep sea fishing in and around Cayman Islands. There are many kinds of water sports too available for persons who hang out on the beach like the parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking and so on. Cayman Islands are also considered very good for shopping great things at a relatively cheaper price. Cayman Islands are also well known for their nightlife and activities most of which take place on the largest island called the Grand Cayman in the chain. There are many clubs and bars meant to cater to the needs of the honeymooners or travelers, but might be very costly and not worth the value paid. The best way to get cheap drinks is by moving along with the locals and hanging out with them on the beach enjoying every moment of it which is also very safer.

Cayman Islands also offer the travelers or honeymooners with many off beat activities like the eco tour to the well-protected mangroves. Such tours are narrated and led by very experienced guides. Everyone can enjoy underwater life like the lobster, big starfish and turtles. They can maneuver the kayaks, which are easy to handle, and they are very simple that it does not require the person to be very fit to enjoy them. There is also the bio-iridescent tour where the travelers can have a magnificent look at the algae illuminating the water life and plants. It can be both educational and fun filled choice for many.
